Slight pain is to be expected around bony regions. Most patients find the HIFU treatment tolerable and that numbing cream is unnecessary. We do still provide topical anaesthesia if requested.
Slightly pinkish skin around the treatment area for a few hours is expected.
You can immediately see the result after just one HIFU treatment session. The skin tightening effect will gradually improve over the course of 4-8 weeks as more collagen is produced.
Usually, the lifting effect will last for 6 months after only 1 session. However, individual varies; some may require more than 1 session for a pronounced and lasting skin lift.

The first HIFU treatment technology was first introduced in the US more than 10 years ago. However, as the years went by, Korean HIFU has certainly kept up with its US counterpart.
Efficacy-wise, both HIFU treatments are equivalent (depending on the operator's skill). However, price-wise Korean HIFU is much more affordable and produces only mild pain.
